Having fun in the sun is a Summer given! Some of us lather ourselves in spf and others do the "unthinkable", douse themselves in oil to fry like a chicken. For years we've been told that using sunblock will help combat premature wrinkling of your skin and risk of skin cancer yet people still aren't wearing it. A common belief is that you don't get tan using spf, but you do. Most sunblock brands claim to protect you from the damaging Uv rays, not block the sun altogether. Protecting your skin should be a priority and it's all the rage if your a millennial but people still don't know they need to protect one more thing... Their hair!! Whether it's wearing a sun hat or using a UV protectant spray on your hair for those days at the beach or in your backyard, you should consider using a method to keep those locks moisturized and healthy! So many beauty brands have brought out UV sprays and some have even released whole hair care lines for the sun. One of my favorite UV protectant sprays is Sebastian Stylebrid 9. It claims to be packed with healthy ingredients to keep your locks protected and strong! It's a multi-benefit hairspray to provide you with thermal protection, UV protection, volumize, give texture and it is even said to define curls. One product with a ton of benefits?! Sounds to me like this should be your new bff in your beauty regime.
One of my favourite sunblock brands is Sun Bum. This line has everything from sunblock for the skin to sunblock for your lips! I prefer Sun Bum spf 30, it claims to be water restant for 80 minutes and infused with vitamin E. It goes on smoothly and it smells delightful. Not to mention the little monkey on the bottle and their slogan "Trust the Bum" sold me... If you still aren't sold, the company also claims to formulate a product that is free of parabens, oil,and PABA and claims that it is hypoallergenic, anti aging, photostable and won't clog pores. Hopefully after reading this blog post you will be inspired to protect yourself from the harmful rays of the sun! :)
